Mr. Bill Isaak
President, Chief Engineer, FAA Loads DER

Mr. Bill Isaak has more than 30 years of experience in certification loads, static and dynamic engineering analysis, certification analysis and test validation, and engineering project and team management. Bill is an independent Consultant FAA DER (Designated Engineering Representative) for Loads and Dynamics with full approval authority for both 14 CFR Parts 23 and 25 airplanes. Before co-founding Emprexx Aerospace, Bill held positions as Loads and Dynamics Manager at Aviation Partners Boeing and Senior Loads and Dynamics Engineer at The Boeing Company working on both military (Joint Strike Fighter) and commercial airplanes (727, 737, 747, 757, 767, Product Development), and Loads Engineer at Lockheed Martin (F-16).

Bill holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.

Mrs. Mackenziel Isaak
Founder

As the cofounder of Emprexx Aerospace, Mrs. Mackenziel Isaak, has facilitated the exponential growth of a multi-disciplinary aerospace engineering team over the course of the last 10 years. At the time of the company’s inception, she served as the only non-engineering staff member and covered all administrative operational functions. As Emprexx has expanded in both size and offering a full suite of capabilities, her role evolved to focus on high-level business and management strategy, company culture and engagement, and public relations.

Mackenziel’s passion is fostering an environment where highly experienced and talented engineers are provided with the tools and support needed to help clients develop and certify new and modified aerospace products.

Mackenziel holds a Bachelor of Arts in Hospitality Management from Washington State University.

Mr. Mark Olivier
Director of Engineering, FAA Flight Analyst DER, FAA Flutter DER

Mr. Mark Olivier has more than 30 years of experience in aerodynamic design, aeroelastic analysis, and testing. Mark is an FAA DER (Designated Engineering Representative) Flight Analyst for 14 CFR Part 23 and CAR 3 and an FAA Flutter DER for 14 CFR Parts 23 and 25 airplanes. His experience includes aircraft certification, aerodynamic design and analysis using low and high-order methods, static and dynamic aeroelasticity, flight test conduct and data analysis, AFM (Airplane Flight Manual) generation, wind tunnel test conduct, and model design and construction.

Mark has actively participated in numerous STC (Supplemental Type Certificate) projects and contributed to such diverse programs as the Quest Kodiak and Lockheed Martin Cooperative Avionics Testbed. Robert is an industry-recognized MSC.Nastran aeroelastic analysis expert with comprehensive experience in aeroelastic solutions sequences 144/145/146. This experience includes developing, validating, and using MSC Nastran aeroelastic models and processes to perform real-world certification analyses for static loads, dynamic loads, and flutter.

Mark holds a Master of Science degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Washington.

Mr. Francis Jacob
Engineering Manager, FAA Structures DER

Mr. Francis Jacob has more than 30 years of experience in structural analysis and design. His industry experience spans civil aviation, general aviation, and military aerospace. Francis is an FAA DER (Designated Engineering Representative) for structures for 14 CFR Parts 23 and 25 airplanes. His experience covers the core analysis disciplines of static, fatigue and damage tolerance as they apply to metallic and composite structures.

Francis has a strong background in classical theoretical analysis and has developed a wide range of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) simulations. Francis’s analysis experience complements his practical knowledge of supporting initial concept layouts for product development to detail design and final engineering release. Francis’s experience also spans fleet support, static & fatigue testing, materials testing, tooling, and certification.

Francis holds an HND in Mechanical Engineering from Newcastle Polytechnic, UK.

Mr. Paul Thomas
Engineering Manager and Chief Aerodynamicist 

Mr. Paul Thomas is an engineering manager with responsibilities for aircraft configuration, aerodynamic design, stability and control, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and loads analysis.

Paul has more than 19 years of aerospace engineering experience including a Masters of Science in Aeronautics and Astronautics from the University of Washington.

Paul has spent much of his career working on new aircraft product development and performance-enhancing modification design. He has led or contributed to the sizing and OML design of numerous new aircraft configurations including low-speed and supersonic UAS, civil transport aircraft, air-launch platforms, and space planes.  He has specific expertise in multi-disciplinary configuration design, wind tunnel testing, applied aerodynamics analysis, airfoil and high-lift design, performance, and stability & control. Paul has been an active member of the AIAA Applied Aerodynamics Technical Committee which represents the technical community engaged in the analysis, design, research, and development of applied aerodynamics of airborne and surface vehicles.

Dr. Etienne Maxime
Engineering Manager, FAA Loads DER

Dr. Etienne Maxime is an engineering manager with responsibilities for loads, dynamics, and flutter. He has more than 20 years of aerospace engineering experience including a Doctor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Washington. Josh is an independent Consultant FAA DER (Designated Engineering Representative) for Loads and Dynamics with full approval authority for both 14 CFR Parts 23 and 25 airplanes.

Etienne joined Emprexx from Aviation Partners Boeing where he led the loads and dynamics engineering department in support of Supplemental Type Certificates for winglet installations on Boeing 737 Next Generation, 757, and 767 transport aircraft; and Dassault Falcon 2000 business jets. This experience includes both performing and directing MSC. Nastran aeroelastic analyses, with extensive use of Matlab tools for additional analysis and data processing.

Mr. Alexis Antonio
Engineering Manager

Mr. Alexis Antonio is an engineering manager with responsibilities for aircraft and launch vehicle flight loads, flutter, and structural dynamics. Alexis has more than 13 years of experience in aerospace engineering including a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the University of Washington.

He joined Emprexx from Stratolaunch where he developed nonlinear simulation tools to analyze aircraft ground events and developed aeroelastic simulation tools to analyze aircraft flight events for the world’s largest aircraft and space launch platform. Alexis is an expert in loads model development, ground vibration test correlation, and static and dynamic loads analyses. He also has extensive experience integrating aircraft control systems into aeroelastic simulations.

Brad Zachary, Flight Sciences, Performance and Handling Qualities, Systems and Controls, Flight Testing

Mr. Brad Zachary
Flight Sciences Lead Engineer, FAA Flight Analyst DER

Mr. Brad Zachary is a group leader with responsibilities for aircraft performance, handling qualities, and stability & control analysis. Brad has more than 16 years of experience in aerospace engineering with an emphasis on flight test and certification.

Brad holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington and is an FAA Flight Analyst DER (Designated Engineering Representative) for 14 CFR Parts 23 and 25 airplanes.

He joined Emprexx from AeroTEC where he served in multiple test and certification roles including Group Lead of Flight Ops and Test Planning, and, most recently, Certification and Flight Safety Manager. Reid has led multi-disciplinary test planning, flight test directing, and reporting efforts on numerous FAA STC programs. In addition to his flight test experience, Reid has extensive experience in aircraft performance modeling, stability & control analysis, AFM supplements, and certification planning.

Mr. Cameron Will
Engineering Manager, Structures 14 CFR, Parts 23 and 25 DAE

Mr. Cameron Will has more than 19 years of experience in structural design and product development. He has worked in civil, commercial, and military aircraft ranging from fixed-wing to helicopters, UAVs, and rockets. Cameron is a Designated Airplane Engineer (DAE) for structures 14 CFR Parts 23 and 25 airplanes. His experience covers the principal design disciplines of concept design, detail design, and final engineering release as well as weight reductions and process control efforts for existing aircraft design.

Most of Cameron’s career has been spent working on new aircraft product development with a special focus on wings and composite technologies. Cameron has a strong background in structural design, wing planform architecture layout, composite design, repair, and manufacturing.

His experience as a DAE also spans mechanical and electromagnetic certification testing of commercial aircraft. Cameron has earned several patents for large-scale composite part design and manufacturing as well as fuel tank access doors and vented stringers. Most recently, Cameron was developing automated singulation systems using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to perform singulation detection in commercial shipping warehouses at Amazon.

Cameron graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Aerospace Engineering and is currently teaching a composites class for the University of Washington.

Dr. Joshua Frederic
Computational Fluid Dynamics Team Lead

Dr. Joshua Frederic has more than 12 years of experience in solving computational fluid dynamics (CFD) problems. Before joining Emprexx Aerospace, Joshua was the aerospace global technical specialist for Siemens PLM Software covering the STAR-CCM+ CFD software segment. His experience includes aerodynamic database generation, coupled CFD-FEA static aeroelastic analysis, airfoil design &; analysis, and high-performance computing. Joshua has actively participated in the AIAA CFD workshop series, including the Propulsion Aerodynamics Workshop (PAW) and the High-Lift Prediction Workshop (HLPW). He is a recognized expert at designing cloud computing systems for aerospace CFD applications with a focus on accurate results, high throughput, and low cost.

Joshua holds a Doctorate in Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California at Santa Barbara.

Mr. Alexander Joseph 
Consultant

Mr. Alexander Joseph has more than 35 years of experience in aerospace program management, certification, and business development. His experience includes managing major STC programs through development, certification, and first article manufacturing and installation phases which have included: research and development, program requirements definition, design, and development subcontract management, preliminary aerodynamic design, critical detail design, structural analysis, aeroelastic analysis, full scale static testing, flight testing, ground testing, logistics planning, tooling and first article manufacturing, conformity inspections, prototype installation, instructions for continued airworthiness, continued operational safety, and direct interface with regulatory agencies through certification, such as the FAA, EASA, and other civil airworthiness authorities such as JCAB, ANAC and the CAAC.

Steve is a graduate of the Management Program at the University of Washington’s Foster School of Business.

Mr. Christophe Carter
Director of Finance and Administration

Mr. Christophe Carter has more than 25 years of experience in finance, accounting, operations, and administration. Prior to joining Emprexx, he worked at several companies including Amazon.com as Senior Manager and FujiFilm SonoSite as Corporate Controller. Christophe began his career in public accounting with KPMG and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Montana State University.

Mrs. Brittany Lucas>
Director of Business Development

Mrs. Brittany Lucas worked for IDD Aerospace (Safran) in Renton in several roles from contract management to supply chain management. She then went to work for Boeing Global Services as a supply chain analyst, supporting the Fleet Care Program for Boeing Global Services. Brittany fostered her experience in customer relations and the aerospace world, managing commercial derivative procurements for both the KC-46 and VC-25B. Taking a brief hiatus from aerospace, she then served as the government affairs director for Tax and Fiscal Policy and Manufacturing for the Association of Washington Business. At AWB, she ran several task force efforts and served as the delegate for her CEO on the Department of Commerce Manufacturing Council.

In her spare time, Tommy volunteers as a docent at the Museum of Flight in Tukwila, where she connects with visitors, shares her passion for aerospace, gives a voice to history, and inspires the next generation of aerospace leaders. Her dedication doesn’t end there, though. Brittany shares her voice with several organizations throughout the Puget Sound area, representing and advocating for growth and stability in the aerospace industry’s footprint in the Pacific Northwest.  She’s a member of the Museum of Flight’s Speaker’s Bureau, Museum of Flight King County Airport Authority Board, Museum of Flight Pathfinders Committee, and Museum of Flight Boeing Academy for STEM Education Committee. She serves as the chair of the business development committee for the Aerospace Futures Alliance and is a member of the Raisbeck Aviation High School CTE Board. Of all her volunteer activities, her greatest passion is serving as a Pylon Judge at the Reno Air Races each year since 2009.

Mrs. Kaitlyn Danielle Pascal
Program Manager

Mrs. Kaitlyn Danielle Pascal is a program manager at Emprexx, working alongside all the engineering managers to ensure the success of the projects. Prior to Emprexx, Kaitlyn spent six years at Liebherr Aerospace as a liaison engineer involved in developing, testing, and qualifying components in the leading edge, trailing edge, and the innovative Folding Wing Tip System in Boeing’s 777X program. From a business development standpoint, Ceana led Liebherr’s North American rail business, as well as worked with Kompass North America to help B2B businesses expand internationally.

Kaitlyn’s time as program manager with The Atlantis Project gave her experience with cutting-edge space launch systems and research.

Kaitlyn holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Metropolitan State University of Denver.
